Rooted in a commitment to health equity and charitable care, Heart of the Matter Wellness ensures that financial limitations never stand in the way of high-quality mental health support. 

Operating entirely without third-party insurance billing, services are made accessible through a comprehensive sliding-scale fee structure, grant-funded scholarship slots, and hardship provisions. 

Individual Counseling Assistance:

Starting in Summer 2027 our individual counseling program is staffed by Master's level intern clinicians receiving direct supervision over your care.  Our interns are vetted and ready to assist those 8 and over with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress reduction, and relationship struggles. 

Couples Counseling Assistance 

Financial grants funded by community donations are available through a simple application process to cover session costs with our vetted community provider network.   

Additionally, we offer concentrated single- or multi-day couples intensives at various times throughout the year to help partners address trauma, communication breakdowns, and attachment dynamics faster than weekly therapy.  These are made affordable due to our generous sponsors and supporters in the community. 

Biofeedback Access Assistance

Our Biofeedback Access Assistance directly subsidizes cutting-edge modalities such as HEG-PIR neurofeedback and HRV HeartMath biofeedback for those in need. 

Adoptive Family Assistance

We provide specialized one on one office and community based parent coaching, psychoeducation, in-home coaching, and support groups tailored to adoption-related attachment, identity, grief, and family integration.
